Elena & Aaron's Race Street Pier, Philadelphia Intimate Wedding
Where do I even begin with writing about this day. This truly was one of my favorites days of 2019- and I may be biased because I grew up with/ been close to Elena and Aaron for most of our lives- but this also was truly just such a beautifully intimate, wonderfully celebrated day of unity. Elena and Aaron have been dating since high-school, and like any relationship that has lasted over the years, they’ve have their ups and downs. I’ve even had the honor of walking through some of those mountains and valleys with them as friends. But like Elena said so powerfully in her vows to Aaron- this day was a celebration of not only their future together as husband and wife, but a celebration of their past. Every mountain top, every low valley, every in between- celebrated with their closest family and friends on a beautiful pier in Philadelphia. This is why I love shooting weddings so much- it’s the celebration and championing of two people who look at each other and say, “yes. I want that. I choose you. everyday.” I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little extra attached to this day because I fully knew the couple because I adore Elena and Aaron (so does everyone else that knows them, they’re magnetic. People are drawn to them)- and you better believe I was wiping away tears the entire ceremony- but this day would have been so profoundly sweet to capture even if I was a stranger to them because of Elena and Aaron’s love for one another and the people who supported them greatly on this day.
I also cannot ignore the fact that Elena was seriously the absolute most stunning bride on this day- I mean, just WOW. Not a dry eye in the place when she walked down the pier isle.
Thank you, friends, for entrusting me to capture this day for you. I will never forget this honor.
